In 2018 the Town spent millions of dollars tax dollars on a Skillings field restoration project. The small and large fields for use with high school sports were redone with irrigation and new sod. These new fields are used by football, lacrosse, archery, soccer, and thousands of student athletes
The new large field is critical to our student athletes. Due to drainage and grates for the culvert the current location is the only place the required 340x200 foot field can be placed
The town spent 45,000 dollars on a field study. The result of this study is that we need SEVEN more large fields. Losing one of the existing fields will put undue hours on the remaining fields resulting in worse conditions for all.
